Kabuki Warriors is a fighting game which launched alongside the original Xbox in North America and is considered to be one of the all-time worst video games. From the bowels of the “Mascots with attitude” back catalogue comes Bubsy the Bobcat, Accolade’s big hope of the early 1990s. Bubsy’s first game Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind was a modest hit, but the underlying game just doesn’t cut it when compared to contemporaries such as Super Mario World and Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Gradius: The Interstellar Assault (or Nemesis II: Return of the Hero) is the second Gradius game for the Game Boy. It may well be the only Gradius game that doesn’t have Moai heads. A colour version of the game can be found on Konami GB Collection Volume 3 for Japan and Volume 4 for Europe.

by Matt Keller on Nov.18, 2012, under Video Game Ad of the Day
WCW/nWo Revenge is one of the best multiplayer games on the Nintendo 64, even though it was superceded by two sequels. It has the dubious honour of being the last good product to bear the WCW name, as everything else WCW touched after 1998 was complete shit.

by Matt Keller on Nov.17, 2012, under Video Game Ad of the Day
Wayne Gretzky’s 3D Hockey ’98 is an update of the popular Midway-developed hockey game, but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to add a lot to the formula.

Desert Strike was a huge hit on the Mega Drive which resulted in EA taking it to every format under the sun. Gremlin Interactive published the PC version of Desert Strike, which was actually pretty lousy compared to the Mega Drive version.
Video Game Ad of the Day: T-MEK
by Matt Keller on Nov.14, 2012, under Video Game Ad of the Day
T-MEK is an arcade tank game with a pretty elaborate cabinet setup. Unfortunately, the cabinet was most of the appeal of the game, as those who purchased the home versions of T-MEK found out. Then again, if you bought the 32X version of T-MEK, you’re sitting on a goldmine.
