Jungle Strike is the second game in the Strike series and a major improvement over Desert Strike. There are significantly more levels, with far more objectives in each, and even the opportunity to control other vehicles over the course of the game.

Desert Strike was a huge hit on the Mega Drive which resulted in EA taking it to every format under the sun. Gremlin Interactive published the PC version of Desert Strike, which was actually pretty lousy compared to the Mega Drive version.

Desert Strike was the first of a five game series created by Mike Posehn in conjunction with Electronic Arts. It was one of EA’s most popular series on the Mega Drive, and found its way to a variety of platforms. A 3-in-1 compilation of the first three games was planned for release for the Mega CD, but never eventuated.
