Fan remake of cult classic Black Sect is now available

Last week saw the release of a fan remake of Lankhor’s cult classic Black Sect – a 1993 adventure game released for the Atari ST, Amiga and PC.

Black Sect has been remade in Adventure Game Studio and includes additional features to make the game more accessible – extra and modified puzzles, new sound and music, unlimited save slots, updated hint system, new interface, etc. The remake retains the original game’s visuals (for the most part), locations, and the day and night cycle while removing the real-time time limits and dead ends that plagued players previously.

The Black Sect remake can be downloaded here for free.

New adventure game from the creators of Space Quest

Mark Crowe and Scott Murphy, the original creators of Space Quest, have reunited after 25+ years and are creating a new space-themed adventure game.

Crowe and Murphy, aka ‘The Two Guys from Andromeda’, recently stated on their website that they are “ludicrously psyched to be working together again.” They went on to write “we have some real…, stuff to share, incorporating that same style of comedy, wonder and excellence you expect from a Two Guys adventure.”

The pair have appeared in a video (above), revealing their plans for the project and the future, thanking fans for their continued support and working those Andromedan noses.

Expect more details soon.
