Ocarina of Time 3D: 1 million served

In its financial briefing last Thursday, Nintendo announced that its recently released 3D upgrade of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has shipped in excess of 1 million units across the world.

The game sold 810,000 copies in the West and 270,000 copies in Japan in just two weeks of reporting. It is the second Nintendo-published game to hit the platinum mark on the 3DS – Nintendogs + cats was the first.

The news really shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, since Ocarina of Time 3D is arguably the best thing on the 3DS, not to mention a fantastic update of one of the best video games ever made.

Still should have been a launch title, though.

Link to the Past reimagined in Magic: The Gathering expansion

Super Nintendo classic The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past has been painstakingly reimagined as a 242 card expansion set for Magic: The Gathering by GamesRadar contributor KREATIVEAssassin.

The cards aren’t official by any means, but if you like The Legend of Zelda, and MTG still floats your boat, check them out.

Video Game Ad of the Day: The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX

The best Zelda game? Quite possibly.

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX was a launch title for the Game Boy Color. The new version features full colour and an extra dungeon. On top of that, it’s arguably the best of the 2D Zelda games, if not the best in the series. You can pick it up on the 3DS Virtual Console for a pittance. This ad is for the UK release of the game.

Review: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

Normally we don’t run reviews on RGA (which will probably change in the future – we’re toying around with it), but I did happen to write a review on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D over at my old haunt, Games On Net. Head over there now to check it out!
