Fez now available on XBLA
by Charly on Apr.14, 2012, under News
Fez, a retro inspired 2D puzzle platformer set in a 3D world, is now available on XBLA for 800 Microsoft Points.
In Fez, players navigate 3D structures using 2D and 3D perspective-shifts (think Super Paper Mario or Crush) to explore a pretty world full of puzzles, treasures and secrets. As Gomez, we run, jump, climb and rotate the world to uncover hidden areas, unearth mysteries, overcome various spacial challenges and collect cubes.
Oh, and there is a magic hat. Cute.

Apache Longbow now available on GOG
by Matt Keller on Feb.29, 2012, under News
We’ve been a bit slack with the “new” release tracking as of late – we hope to make up for that. Anyway, Good Old Games has added the classic helicopter simulator Apache Longbow to its catalogue today.
Longbow reminds us of a bygone era, when realistic flight simulators were big business. Realism and attention to detail were the biggest thing – accessibility be damned.
If you’re up for some hot chopper action, Apache Longbow will set you back $US6.
Nightmare Busters pre-orders open
by Matt Keller on Feb.27, 2012, under News

Nightmare Busters was a side-scrolling shooter for the SNES that went unreleased. However, the game will now be seeing the light of day, courtesy of the folks at Super Fighter Team.
Preorders for the title opened over the weekend, and only 600 copies are being produced in the first run. That might not sound like a lot, but it’s actually double the usual first run for a SFT title. The game will set you back $US75 (includes international shipping).
The cool thing is that Super Fighter Team’s release of the game is quite legitimate, with the license for the game acquired from the original developer (though it’s not licensed by Nintendo). Furthermore, all of the components used in the production of the game are authentic – no donor carts!
You can preorder the game here.
